Volunteer Opportunities!

We need your help – it takes a village to keep things moving, it’s fun, it’s rewarding, and you’re helping our kids be successful!

Volunteer Opportunities are sent out by email (almost weekly) during the band season – and we would really love your help!

Please keep a look out for emails from the Westerville Central Music Boosters, and if you’re not receiving emails, please let us know so we can keep you in the loop!

WC Play-Off Game-Volunteers Needed

The Warhawks officially made the playoff’s so the band will be headed to Gahanna Lincoln on Friday. Before they do, we’ll be filling them up with a good dinner!

Many thanks to Hot Chicken Takeover for donating the chicken, a tray of mac & cheese, ranch, bread and pickles. Thanks to our Music Booster President MJ Junelot for providing dessert! We need a few other things for dinner as well as volunteers to serve the meal, chaperone and wash uniforms.

Since this is an away game, we’ll need the servers and donations at the school by 4:30 with dinner being served at 4:45.

Thanks so much! Go Hawks!

Thanks so much for your willingness to help out!

Date: 10/29/2021 (Fri.)

Location: WCHS: Main course donated by Hot Chicken Takeover

Remember to check out the other volunteer sign up for chaperones and uniform washers for after the game.

Thanks for all you do and Go Warhawks!

Concession, Chaperone & Uniform Washing Sign Up 2021

The visitors’ side concession stand is an important source of revenue for the WCHS Music Boosters AND it is a fun way to interact with students and other band parents. We need YOU to help make it a success. This SignUp is for the whole season so you can coordinate with your schedule and sign up for all games when you will be available. (Remember parents of Seniors, don’t sign up for Senior Night on October 15th! 😉

In addition we need chaparones to sign up for away games and festival performances. Duties include riding the bus to take head counts and make sure district rules are being followed; assisting the students with unloading the band truck; making sure percussion equipment, flip books, audio speaker and emergency kits make it to the stands and back into the band truck; keeping students hydrated by handing out water in the stands…etc. Great opportunities to interact with your child and their friends!

And for those of you who may think there’s no way you can help, there is! Your student can bring home a basket of ten-or-so uniforms and a sheet of easy-to-follow directions after a game or other performance, along with the date they need to be returned. Boom! You’re a rockstar!

If you have any questions about these volunteer opportunities, don’t hesitate to ask! Thank you SO much for supporting our kids!
